Sam Glasco vs Mike Bricken

Boxing Daily Report from the Monster Promotions promoted show at Monster Gym, London,  taking place on 26/10/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Sam Glasco (4 - 0) who hails from Toronto, Canada and Mike Bricken(3 - 1) from Gainesville, USA.  Both Glasco and Bricken weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Richie Clasby, and the three ringside judges are Mark Nixon, Joel Griffin and Dave Sleigh.  

Round 1: 

Glasco lands a right hook.  
Glasco steps inside and is on target with a left hook.  Glasco tries to land a right hook, but Bricken slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Glasco lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Glasco hits home with a stiff jab.  
Glasco connects with a right hook.  
Bricken finds the target with a jab.  
Glasco gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Glasco is on target with a right hook.  
Bricken sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Glasco connects with a solid cross.  
Glasco steps inside and hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Bricken is looking to close the distance.  Glasco lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Glasco clinches his opponent.  Glasco uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Bricken behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Glasco hits home with a sharp left hook.  Glasco holds on to his opponent.  Bricken throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Glasco connects with a left hook.  Glasco clinches his opponent.  Bricken is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Bricken.  
Glasco forces Bricken to back into a neutral corner.  Bricken throws a right uppercut, but Glasco clinches his opponent.  Glasco is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Glasco's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Bricken throws a left hook, but Glasco ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Glasco pushes his forearm into Bricken's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Glasco.  
Glasco lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Glasco lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Glasco drives a right hook into Bricken's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bricken's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Glasco leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Glasco gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Glasco throws a right uppercut, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Glasco ties up his opponent.  Glasco is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Glasco drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Glasco sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Glasco closes the distance and connects with a left hook.  
Bricken connects with a left hook.  
Glasco lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Glasco lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Glasco lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Glasco gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Glasco forces Bricken to retreat into the corner.  Glasco hits home with a left hook.  As Bricken tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Glasco dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Glasco drives a left hook into Bricken's body.  
Glasco lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Bricken's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Bricken's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Bricken's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
