Daniil Popovich vs Alik Smolnikov

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Russia-Samara Oblast promoted show at Alik Afinogenov Gym, Samara,  taking place on 24/09/2024:

Clearly AI Russia-Samara Oblast have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Russia-Samara Oblast Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Daniil Popovich (11 - 3 - 5) who hails from Samara, Russia and Alik Smolnikov(6 - 3 - 2) from Tolyatti, Russia.  Both Popovich and Smolnikov weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fadei Simonich, and the three ringside judges are Marlen Gavrilov, Fedor Urban and Igor Shchennikov.
