Gaylord Belair vs John Gunn

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at Harry Belling Gym, Gaineau,  taking place on 13/09/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Gaylord Belair (5 - 0) who hails from Montreal, Canada and John Gunn(8 - 4(4) - 2) from Edmonton, Canada.  Both Belair and Gunn weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Elliot Girardot, and the three ringside judges are Johnny Smith, Bruce Hathorne and Gerard Segalen.  

Round 1: 

Belair gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Belair closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Belair digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Belair backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Gunn tries to tag Belair on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot! Belair attempts to land a jab, but Gunn dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Gunn advances into close range.  Gunn sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Belair attempts to land a right hook, but Gunn sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.
