Michi Sakamoto vs Kyo Hori

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo,  taking place on 28/09/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Michi Sakamoto (6 - 2) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Kyo Hori(11 - 4 - 1) from Osaka, Japan.  Sakamoto weighed in at 126 pounds, while Hori weighed in at 125 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Isamu Nonaka, and the three ringside judges are Hisao Hatanaka, Hisao Yamane and Hajime Amari.  

Round 1: 

Sakamoto is on target with a cross.

Hori tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a jab, but Sakamoto dodges the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Hori steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand left.  
Sakamoto lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Sakamoto tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
