Robert Bullion vs Sam Hunter

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Royal ICC, Brisbane,  taking place on 27/09/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Robert Bullion (4 - 0) who hails from Sydney, Australia and Sam Hunter(9 - 3) from Adelaide, Australia.  Both Bullion and Hunter weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Steven Candreva, and the three ringside judges are Leon Kellar, Ewan Duffy and Neil McAllaster.  

Round 1: 

Hunter lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Bullion lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Bullion digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Bullion sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Hunter is on target with a cross.  Hunter throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Hunter hits home with a sharp right hook.

Hunter steps to the outside.  Bullion tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to Bullion's liver.

Bullion manouvers Hunter onto the ropes.  Hunter tries to land a right hook, but Bullion slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Bullion gets on the inside.  Hunter pivots from in front of his opponent.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hunter dabs at his face checking for damage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Hunter's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Hunter's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Hunter's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
