Ove Flattum vs Hui-chao Chim

Boxing Daily Report from the Big Bang Promotions promoted show at IRFA Arena, Stockholm,  taking place on 16/10/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ove Flattum (17(14) - 0) who hails from Oslo, Norway and Hui-chao Chim(14 - 2 - 1) from Beijing, China.  Both Flattum and Chim weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Tage Eld, and the three ringside judges are Leon Bergeson, Sigge Halgren and Gustave Kallgren.  

Round 1: 

Chim lands a cross.  
Chim advances into close range.  Flattum lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Chim hits home with a right hook.  
Chim is on target with a right hook to Flattum's body.  
Flattum is on target with a left uppercut to Chim's body.  
Flattum lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Chim gets on the inside.  Flattum lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Chim wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Flattum dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Flattum throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  Chim now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Chim closes the distance and is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Flattum drives a sharp left hook into Chim's liver.  
Chim connects with a left hook.  
Flattum lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Chim almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Flattum is on target with a firm left hook.  
Chim lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Chim closes the distance.  Flattum digs in a solid left uppercut to Chim's ribs.  
Flattum tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a jab.  
Chim walks Flattum down, trapping him in a corner.  Chim lands a left uppercut.  
Flattum tries to land a jab, but Chim slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Chim advances into close range.  Flattum lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Flattum advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Flattum tries to step out of his opponents range.  Chim is on target with a cross.  Chim throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a DEVASTATING cross.  CHIM IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  
Flattum sidesteps to the right of his opponent and crashes a spiteful right hook to his opponents ribcage.  CHIM IS HURT!  
Chim manages to force Flattum onto the ropes.  Flattum is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Flattum lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, AND CHIM IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Chim now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Flattum's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Chim steps inside.  Flattum tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Flattum is looking to keep his distance and lands a ramrod jab.  
Flattum tries to keep the action at long range and attempts to land a cross, but Chim blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Chim is on target with a right hook to Flattum's body.  
Flattum is looking to close the distance.  Chim tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Flattum is looking to keep his distance and lands with a ramrod jab.  
Flattum lands a sharp jab.  
Flattum advances into close range and forces Chim to retreat into the red corner.  Flattum lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES CHIM!  He manages to get up at 4.  Chim recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Flattum is looking to close the distance.  Chim lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Flattum is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Chim throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Flattum is looking to close the distance and connects with a firm right uppercut.  Flattum tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Flattum quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Flattum lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND DROPS CHIM!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  
Flattum gets on the inside and tries to land a right hook, but Chim blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Flattum lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
The right shot from Flattum could be enough to force the stoppage!  Flattum SLAMS a DESTRUCTIVE cross into his opponents face.  CHIM HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  THE REF STOPS THE FIGHT!  HE DOES NOT BELIEVE CHIM CAN CONTINUE!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Flattum!
