Koldan Ovechkin vs Igor Dorosh

Boxing Daily Report from the Shongwe Promotions promoted show at Marlen Zaleski Gym, Perm,  taking place on 29/09/2024:

Clearly Shongwe Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Russia-Perm Krai Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Koldan Ovechkin (5 - 7 - 2) who hails from Perm, Russia and Igor Dorosh(8 - 4 - 4) from Perm, Russia.  Both Ovechkin and Dorosh weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Georgiy Yesheyev, and the three ringside judges are Ivan Obolensky, Viktor Davydov and Ivan Obolensky.  

Round 1: 

Ovechkin gets on the inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Dorosh in a corner.  Ovechkin hits home with a right hook.  Ovechkin throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Dorosh tries to keep the action at long range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Ovechkin tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Ovechkin advances into close range.  Dorosh sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Dorosh lands a left hook.  
Ovechkin connects with a left uppercut.  
Ovechkin quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ovechkin throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Ovechkin steps inside.  Dorosh throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Ovechkin time to recover.
