Alik Rusak vs Aleksei Petrowski

Boxing Daily Report from the Bonsam Promotions promoted show at Naberezhnye Chelny Kuryschkin, Naberezhnye Chelny,  taking place on 29/09/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Russia-Tatarstan Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alik Rusak (7 - 5 - 3) who hails from Nizhnekamsk, Russia and Aleksei Petrowski(9 - 3 - 4) from Naberezhnye Chelny, Russia.  Rusak weighed in at 199 pounds And 5 ounces, while Petrowski weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Andrii Chistovich, and the three ringside judges are Gennady Klepikov, Marlen Bryzgalov and Arseni Zalesky.  

Round 1: 

Petrowski tries to land a jab, but Rusak blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.

Petrowski hits home with a left hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Petrowski dabs at his face checking for damage.  Petrowski has taken some damage there.  That has caused swelling  around the left eye.  
Rusak lands a right hook.

Petrowski is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand right to the head followed by a jab to the body.
