Brett Steel vs Felix Quail

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Palmer Events Center, Houston,  taking place on 05/10/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Brett Steel (9(3) - 0) who hails from Santa Clarita, USA and Felix Quail(8 - 10 - 3) from New York City, USA.  Steel weighed in at 115 pounds, while Quail weighed in at 114 pounds And 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Harry Burwick, and the three ringside judges are Andy Saenz, David Smyth and Joel Abraham.  

Round 1: 

Steel digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Quail connects with a left hook.  
Quail pivots to the side of his opponent.  Steel drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  Steel tries to land a left hook, but Quail sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Steel advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Quail is on target with a cross.  
Quail attempts to land a jab, but Steel sidesteps and counters with a left hook to Quail's body.  
Steel closes the distance and drives a solid left uppercut into his opponents body.  Steel holds on to his opponent.  Steel pushes his forearm into Quail's face.  The ref breaks Steel's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Steel closes the distance and is on target with a stinging left uppercut to Quail's liver.  
Steel drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Steel lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Steel is on target with a stinging right uppercut.  
Steel sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Steel pivots to the side of his opponent.  Quail lands a right uppercut.  Steel ties up his opponent.  Quail leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Steel pushes his forearm into Quail's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Steel to stop fouling.  
Steel sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Steel advances into close range and drives a stinging left hook into Quail's body.  
Steel hits home with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Quail's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Quail's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Quail steps to the outside.  Quail feints a right hook, and then tries to land a jab, but Steel sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Steel digs in a firm left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Steel walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Steel throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Steel lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Quail attempts to land a left uppercut, but Steel slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Steel connects with a left uppercut.  
Steel lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Steel lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Quail throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.

Steel lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Steel hits home with a sharp right hook.  Steel clinches his opponent.  Steel uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Quail behind the head. 
Steel lands a sharp right hook.  
Steel lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Steel gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.
