Kirk Laake vs Njord Espeseth

Boxing Daily Report from the Valhalla promotions promoted show at Ekeberghalen, Oslo,  taking place on 10/10/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Canal+ Sport, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kirk Laake (8 - 0) who hails from Oslo, Norway and Njord Espeseth(2 - 4 - 3) from Bergen, Norway.  Laake weighed in at 200 pounds, while Espeseth weighed in at 199 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Unni Horne, and the three ringside judges are Odin Roys, Njord Hetland and Gunnar Berdahl.  

Round 1: 

Laake steps inside and hits home with a solid right hook.  
Laake walks Espeseth down, trapping him on the ropes.  Laake hits home with a left hook.

Laake quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Espeseth throws a right hook, but Laake holds on to his opponent.  Laake is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
