Waleed Kamara vs Santiago Peron

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, Bangalore,  taking place on 01/11/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the WRBC International Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Waleed Kamara (16(11) - 3(3)) who hails from Johor Bahru, Malaysia and Santiago Peron(13 - 5(3) - 1) from San Pedro Sula, Honduras.  Kamara weighed in at 108 pounds, while Peron weighed in at 107 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Hassan Sader, and the three ringside judges are Amjad Basa, Akhil Shastri and Pradeep Gulati.  

Round 1: 

Peron gets on the inside.  Kamara pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a weighty right hook.  PERON WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  That punch caused slight swelling around the left eye.  Peron recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Kamara switches the action to the outside.  Peron stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Kamara lands a jab to the body, an overhand left to the head and an overhand right to the head.  
Peron manouvers Kamara into a neutral corner.  Kamara lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Kamara is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Peron gets on the inside and connects with a left hook.  
Kamara steps to the outside.  Kamara feints a jab, but Peron does not fall for it and lands with a right uppercut to Kamara's body.  
Peron throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Peron steps inside.  Kamara lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Peron walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Peron pivots to the side of his opponent.  Peron lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Peron tries to land a left hook, but Kamara blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Kamara steps away from his opponent and lands a stinging overhand right.  
Kamara sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Peron dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Peron pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a jab to Kamara's body.  
Kamara lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Peron pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Peron hits home with a right hook.  
Peron pivots to the side of his opponent.  Kamara lands a solid right hook.  
Kamara is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross, jab and an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Kamara sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Kamara feints a left, and then lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Peron almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Peron is looking to close the distance.  Kamara lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Peron digs in a right uppercut to Kamara's body.  
Kamara lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.

Kamara thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Peron away.  Kamara lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the head, AND KNOCKS PERON DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Peron now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Kamara tries to step out of his opponents range.  Kamara stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Peron attempts to land a jab, but Kamara sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Peron closes the distance and drives a solid right uppercut into Kamara's body.
