Mike Kinyonga vs Dylan Muoki

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Mbaraki Sports Club, Mombasa,  taking place on 19/10/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Eastern African Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WWX Sport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mike Kinyonga (12(7) - 1) who hails from Ruiru, Kenya and Dylan Muoki(14 - 3(1) - 1) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Both Kinyonga and Muoki weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Connor Kamau, and the three ringside judges are Paul Kithuka, George Waciuma and Tavon Wanga.  

Round 1: 

Kinyonga steps to the outside and connects with a firm overhand left.  
Muoki hits home with an overhand right.  
Muoki attempts to land a cross, but Kinyonga sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.

Muoki pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Kinyonga is looking to close the distance and lands a stinging right hook.  Kinyonga clinches his opponent.  Kinyonga leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Muoki is on target with a ramrod jab.  
Kinyonga switches the action to the outside and is on target with a stinging cross.  Kinyonga throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Muoki pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Kinyonga steps away from his opponent and lands a sharp overhand right.  
Kinyonga lands two left hooks followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.

Kinyonga lands a left uppercut to the head, a cross to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Muoki now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Muoki's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Muoki tries to land a cross, but Kinyonga slips the shot and counters with a spiteful left hook to Muoki's ribs.  MUOKI WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Kinyonga is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Kinyonga lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body, DROPPING MUOKI TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Muoki now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Kinyonga lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Kinyonga tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a VICIOUS cross.  MUOKI HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.

Kinyonga steps away from his opponent and connects with a stinging cross.
