Angel Canada vs Agapetus Garcia

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Venezuela-Aragua promoted show at Maracay Cuevas, Maracay,  taking place on 02/10/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Venezuela-Aragua Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Meridiano TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Angel Canada (13(3) - 0) who hails from Turmero, Venezuela and Agapetus Garcia(9 - 5) from Maracay, Venezuela.  Both Canada and Garcia weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Angel Hermida, and the three ringside judges are Montenegro Morales, Ignado Baldonado and Larenzo Carro.  

Round 1: 

Garcia lands a jab.  
Canada advances into close range and connects with a left hook.  Canada clinches his opponent.  Canada is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Garcia tries to step out of his opponents range.  Canada lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Garcia sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Canada is on target with a firm right uppercut.  
Garcia switches the action to the outside and hits home with a cross.  
Canada gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  Canada ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Canada pushes his forearm into Garcia's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Canada advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a right uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Canada drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Canada manages to force Garcia onto the ropes.  Canada is on target with a left hook to Garcia's body.

Canada forces Garcia to retreat onto the ropes.  Canada lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Canada ties up his opponent.  Canada leans on his opponent using all his weight. Canada uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Garcia behind the head. 
Canada closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Garcia almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Canada sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Canada manouvers Garcia onto the ropes.  Canada connects with a left hook.  As Garcia tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Canada dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Canada lands a spiteful jab.  
Canada advances into close range and hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Canada lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Canada hits home with a left hook.  
Garcia switches the action to the outside.  Canada lands with a hard jab.  
Garcia manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Garcia attempts to land a cross, but Canada sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Canada advances into close range and is on target with a left hook.  
Garcia is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with an overhand left.  
Canada is looking to close the distance.  Canada lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Garcia dabs at his face checking for damage.

Canada gets on the inside and connects with a MASSIVE right uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE GARCIA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Garcia almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Canada hits home with a firm right uppercut.  Canada ties up his opponent.  Canada leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Canada uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Garcia behind the head. 
Garcia is on target with a jab.  
Canada manouvers his opponent into the blue corner.  Garcia throws a right hook, but Canada holds on to his opponent.  Canada is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Canada's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Canada lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Canada is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Canada advances into close range and EXPLODES a VICIOUS right hook into his opponents face.  GARCIA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Garcia recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
