Zelipe Virgen vs Henry Ra

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Montreal's Gym, Montreal,  taking place on 21/09/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Zelipe Virgen (6(5) - 0) who hails from Trujillo, Peru and Henry Ra(7 - 3 - 2) from Gaineau, Canada.  Virgen weighed in at 153 pounds And 10 ounces, while Ra weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Prewitt Gedeon, and the three ringside judges are Sid Leys, Sinjon Bellanger and Briant Sarraute.  

Round 1: 

Virgen tries to keep the action at long range and lands an overhand left to the head followed by a cross to the body.

Virgen is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Virgen feints a jab, tricking Ra into launching a cross counter.  Virgen springs the trap, countering with  a left hook.  
Virgen lands a stinging overhand left.  
Ra is on target with a cross.  
Ra is on target with a jab.  
Ra gets on the inside.  Virgen pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Ra's body.  
Virgen steps to the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Virgen finds the target with a jab.  
Virgen lands two jabs followed by an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Virgen hits home with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ra's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Ra's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Ra's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Virgen lands a sharp cross.  
Virgen attempts to land a right hook, but Ra blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Ra feints a left hook, and then hits home with a cross.  
Virgen is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Virgen stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Ra attempts to land a jab, but Virgen sidesteps and counters with a BRUTAL right hook.  RA IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Virgen tries to keep the action at long range.  Virgen feints a left hook, and then lands with a stinging jab.

Virgen lands an overhand left to the head followed by a cross to the body.  He continues the combination and lands an overhand left followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Ra could be stopped here, if Virgen can find the right shot!  Virgen lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head, AND RA IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  Ra now seems to have his senses back.  
Virgen tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a cross.  
Virgen hits the target with a solid jab.  
Virgen strikes his opponents body with a solid jab.  
Virgen feints a jab, and then lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Virgen knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Virgen lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS RA TO THE CANVAS!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Ra can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Virgen!
