Ellis Manyeruke vs Michael Kathrada

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Gold Reef Entertainment Centre, Johannesburg,  taking place on 06/10/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ellis Manyeruke (6 - 0) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Michael Kathrada(9 - 7 - 1) from Port Elizabeth, South Africa.  Both Manyeruke and Kathrada weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fraser Mulder, and the three ringside judges are Jackson Mnyamane, Charel Cilliers and Tshepo Nqakula.  

Round 1: 

Manyeruke closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.
