Manu Mutapa vs Quadrees Mmbijiwe

Boxing Daily Report from the Kit Henderson promoted show at Nkana Stadium, Kitwe,  taking place on 28/10/2024:

Clearly Kit Henderson have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Eastern African Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ZNBC, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Manu Mutapa (8 - 2(1)) who hails from Lusaka, Zambia and Quadrees Mmbijiwe(14(9) - 0) from Machakos, Kenya.  Both Mutapa and Mmbijiwe weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kaleb Mukwena, and the three ringside judges are Tevin Chamuka, Lavaughn Chitundu and Deion Kalilele.  

Round 1:

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mutapa dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Mmbijiwe connects with a hurtful right uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE MUTAPA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Mutapa almost instantly gets his legs back.

Mmbijiwe thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Mutapa away.  Mmbijiwe is on target with a telling left hook to Mutapa's liver.  MUTAPA HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  He holds his fists up but stumbles into the referee! Mutapa doesn't look like he's recovered at all.
