Daniel Whalen vs Fraser Sturrock

Boxing Daily Report from the RJM Boxing promoted show at Cardiff City Hall, Cardiff,  taking place on 12/09/2024:

Clearly RJM Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Daniel Whalen (3 - 0) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Fraser Sturrock(0 - 3) from London, UK.  Whalen weighed in at 160 pounds, while Sturrock weighed in at 159 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mark MacNevin, and the three ringside judges are Joshua Gillespie, Glyn Bowen and Dale Carrick.

Whalen feints a left hook, and then lands a jab, overhand left and a cross to his opponents head.

Whalen switches the action to the outside.  Whalen feints a left, and then lands a solid cross.

Sturrock manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Whalen lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.

Sturrock gets on the inside and walks his opponent into a corner.  Whalen connects with a solid left hook.

Sturrock is starting to lose his head here!    He throws a hook, and catches Whalen low!  The ref separates the two fighters and tells Sturrock to keep his punches up.  He gives Whalen a few minutes to recover.  
Sturrock advances into close range.  Whalen lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Whalen clinches his opponent.  Sturrock pushes his forearm into Whalen's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Whalen switches the action to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.

Sturrock is looking to close the distance.  Sturrock is getting frustrated here.   He steps inside, but then strikes Whalen with a blatant low blow!  The ref signals for the action to continue.  He either hasnt noticed the blatant foul or doesnt care!
