Xeres Botero vs Dan Merson

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Rattlesnake Gym, Arlington,  taking place on 26/09/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Xeres Botero (5(3) - 0 - 1) who hails from Tegucigalpa, Honduras and Dan Merson(1 - 2) from Joliet, USA.  Both Botero and Merson weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Evans, and the three ringside judges are James Crum, Ian Hesson and Ian Hesson.  

Round 1: 

Botero is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Botero lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Botero hits home with a right hook.  Botero holds on to his opponent.  Merson tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Botero behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Merson.  
Botero lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Botero drives a left hook into Merson's ribs.  
Botero drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Merson throws a left uppercut, but Botero clinches his opponent.  Botero is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Botero hits home with a left hook.  Botero clinches his opponent.  Botero throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Botero quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.

Botero pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.
