Luis Pavon vs Aidan McPherson

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Royal Dublin Society, Dublin,  taking place on 03/10/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Setanta Sports, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Luis Pavon (2 - 0) who hails from Mexico City, Mexico and Aidan McPherson(4 - 2 - 2) from Dublin, Ireland.  Pavon weighed in at 125 pounds And 15 ounces, while McPherson weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Leon Mohan, and the three ringside judges are Carl Lyons, Roy Clery and Karl Finnegan.  

Round 1: 

Pavon closes the distance.  McPherson pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
McPherson is looking to keep his distance.  Pavon lands an overhand right, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Pavon advances into close range.  Pavon steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  McPherson accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Pavon.  
McPherson lands a cross.  
Pavon lands a left hook.  
Pavon connects with a right uppercut.  
Pavon is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  As McPherson tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Pavon dabs at his face checking for damage.

McPherson hits home with a right hook.  
McPherson feints a cross, but Pavon does not fall for it and lands with a right uppercut.
