Sam Palamara vs Fred Baines

Boxing Daily Report from the Kurusu Promotions promoted show at Lancashire CCC, Manchester,  taking place on 08/11/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Central England Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sam Palamara (4 - 5 - 2) who hails from Nottingham, UK and Fred Baines(5 - 3 - 1) from Sheffield, UK.  Both Palamara and Baines weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dave Palin, and the three ringside judges are Aftab Bilal, Ewan Goodlet and Arran Roose.  

Round 1: 

Baines lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Palamara is looking to keep his distance.  Baines quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Palamara pivots to the right of his opponent.  Palamara tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Palamara lands a jab to Baines's body.  
Baines closes the distance and lands a right uppercut.  
Baines gets on the inside and walks his opponent into a corner.  Baines quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Palamara hits home with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Palamara's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Palamara's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Baines's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.
