Paul Ngassi vs Dume Boateng

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Barnyard Theatre, Johannesburg,  taking place on 01/11/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Paul Ngassi (6 - 0) who hails from Johannesburg, South Africa and Dume Boateng(9 - 9 - 2) from Mitchells Plain, South Africa.  Both Ngassi and Boateng weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Van Jaarsveld, and the three ringside judges are Michael Grobbelaar, Tokelo Motupa and Quoitrel Sotyu.  

Round 1: 

Ngassi gets on the inside and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  Ngassi clinches his opponent.  Ngassi pushes his forearm into Boateng's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ngassi drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Ngassi lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Ngassi manouvers Boateng onto the ropes.  Ngassi feints a jab, but Boateng does not fall for it and responds with a left hook.  
Ngassi lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ngassi lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Ngassi lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Ngassi lands two right uppercuts to the body, and one to the head.  
Boateng throws a left hook, but Ngassi ties up his opponent.  Ngassi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Ngassi to stop fouling.  
Ngassi lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Boateng quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Ngassi closes the distance and hits home with a stinging right uppercut.  
Ngassi digs in a left hook to Boateng's liver.  Ngassi ties up his opponent.  Ngassi leans on his opponent using all his weight. Ngassi throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Boateng throws a right hook, but Ngassi holds on to his opponent.  Ngassi is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Ngassi lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents head.

Ngassi gets on the inside and digs in a firm right hook to Boateng's body.

Ngassi manages to force Boateng onto the ropes.  Ngassi lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ngassi lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.
