Subusiso Khuzwayo vs Mark Delle

Boxing Daily Report from the Quick Tan Promotions promoted show at Standard Bank Arena, Johannesburg,  taking place on 06/12/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SABC1, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Subusiso Khuzwayo (11 - 4 - 1) who hails from Mitchells Plain, South Africa and Mark Delle(11 - 3 - 2) from Kumasi, Ghana.  Both Khuzwayo and Delle weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Isaac Chohan, and the three ringside judges are Here Van Heerden, Colin Ntambwe and Phumelele Mkhize.  

Round 1: 

Khuzwayo is looking to close the distance and hits home with a left hook.  Khuzwayo throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

Khuzwayo throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Khuzwayo gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Delle switches the action to the outside.  Khuzwayo lands with a solid jab.  
Khuzwayo steps inside.  Khuzwayo pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Khuzwayo walks his opponent into the corner.  Khuzwayo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook.  Delle wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Khuzwayo dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Khuzwayo is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Delle's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Delle's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Delle's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.
