Vashon Magqwaka vs Mashawn Offei

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Barnyard Theatre, Johannesburg,  taking place on 01/11/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vashon The Mad Duck Magqwaka (7 - 1) who hails from Soweto, South Africa and Mashawn Offei(3 - 6 - 1) from Randburg, South Africa.  Magqwaka weighed in at 135 pounds, while Offei weighed in at 134 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mark Van Jaarsveld, and the three ringside judges are Michael Grobbelaar, Tokelo Motupa and Quoitrel Sotyu.  

Round 1: 

Magqwaka advances into close range.  Offei throws a left hook, but Magqwaka holds on to his opponent.  Magqwaka pushes his forearm into Offei's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
