Leonel Plasencia vs Santiago Lastra

Boxing Daily Report from the Yalley Promotions promoted show at Guayaquil Prisco, Guayaquil,  taking place on 24/10/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Ecuador-Guayas Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leonel Plasencia (12 - 2 - 2) who hails from Duran, Ecuador and Santiago Lastra(2 - 7 - 4) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Both Plasencia and Lastra weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sierra Lopez, and the three ringside judges are Santiago Mero, Selestino Ravelo and Dario Cruz.  

Round 1: 

Lastra steps inside and manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Lastra throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Lastra wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Plasencia dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Plasencia tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a cross.  
Plasencia closes the distance.  Plasencia pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Plasencia tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Plasencia steps to the outside.  Lastra sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross.
