Vul Matonka vs Robert Mungandu

Boxing Daily Report from the Kit Henderson promoted show at Kitwe Mwale, Kitwe,  taking place on 05/10/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Vul Matonka (1 - 2 - 2) who hails from Lusaka, Zambia and Robert Mungandu(3 - 11) from Lusaka, Zambia.  Matonka weighed in at 231 pounds and 1 ounces, while Mungandu weighed in at 233 pounds and 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mablevi Machila, and the three ringside judges are Denzel Silwimba, Mykelti Shona and Oringo Namomba.  

Round 1: 

Matonka steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Mungandu steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.

Matonka is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Mungandu closes the distance.  Matonka connects with a right hook.  
Matonka is on target with a left uppercut.  
Mungandu advances into close range.  Matonka connects with a right hook.
