Ponce Quijano vs Onofre Cato

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Chile-Antofagasta promoted show at Antofagasta Dorado, Antofagasta,  taking place on 16/10/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Chile-Antofagasta Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ponce Quijano (9 - 6) who hails from Antofagasta, Chile and Onofre Cato(9 - 5) from Antofagasta, Chile.  Both Quijano and Cato weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Iago Venegas, and the three ringside judges are Santiago Marrero, Malvolio Segura and Santiago Laguardia.  

Round 1: 

Quijano is on target with a left uppercut.  
Quijano switches the action to the outside and lands a jab.  
Cato steps inside and is on target with a left hook to Quijano's body.  
Cato is looking to close the distance and walks Quijano down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Cato is on target with a left hook to Quijano's body.  
Cato closes the distance and connects with a right uppercut.  
Cato is looking to close the distance and drives a right hook into Quijano's body.  
Cato hits home with a cross.  
Cato is looking to close the distance.  As Cato tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref steps in and separates the two fighters to check for damage.  Its not looking good!  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.  As less than 4 rounds have been completed its going to be a no-contest!
