Santiago Malagon vs Carlos Astacio

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Chile-Valparaiso promoted show at Viba del Mar Patron, Viba del Mar,  taking place on 16/10/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Chile Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on UCV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Santiago Malagon (8 - 3) who hails from Viba del Mar, Chile and Carlos Astacio(16 - 1) from Las Condes, Chile.  Malagon weighed in at 199 pounds and 2 ounces, while Astacio weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joaquin Narez, and the three ringside judges are Juan Canizares, Quito Monforte and Joaquin Batres.
