Anthony McGovern vs Brandon Shine

Boxing Daily Report from the Mr. Vicious promoted show at Crumlin Boxing Club, Dublin,  taking place on 11/10/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Anthony McGovern (0 - 0) who hails from Cork, Ireland and Brandon Shine(3 - 3) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both McGovern and Shine weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joshua McColl, and the three ringside judges are Karl Finnegan, John Hyland and Sam McCaig.  

Round 1: 

McGovern is looking to close the distance.  Shine pivots to the left of his opponent.  McGovern lands two right hook's to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
McGovern steps inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Shine steps to the outside.  McGovern connects with a cross.  
McGovern gets on the inside and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Shine steps away from his opponent.  McGovern lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
McGovern lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
McGovern advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  McGovern ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, McGovern pushes his forearm into Shine's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures McGovern about fouling.  
McGovern is on target with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  
McGovern lands a right uppercut.  
McGovern lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
McGovern closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  McGovern holds on to his opponent.  McGovern leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McGovern is on target with a sharp right uppercut.  McGovern clinches his opponent.  McGovern leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. McGovern pushes his forearm into Shine's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns McGovern to stop fouling.

McGovern forces Shine to retreat into a corner.  McGovern lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
McGovern closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
McGovern drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
McGovern steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Shine is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with a cross.  
McGovern throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Shine's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Shine walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  McGovern is on target with a stinging left hook to his opponents body.
