Agon Velo vs Daichi Yamauchi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Osaka promoted show at Hitoshi Ito Gym, Osaka,  taking place on 24/10/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Agon Velo (3 - 0) who hails from Tirana, Albania and Daichi Yamauchi(1 - 2 - 2) from Tokyo, Japan.  Velo weighed in at 129 pounds and 3 ounces, while Yamauchi weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kazuhiko Tsutsumi, and the three ringside judges are Raiden Yamamura, Kazuhiko Tsutsumi and Yoshi Nakano.  

Round 1: 

Velo pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a firm right uppercut.  
Velo switches the action to the outside.  Velo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two straights followed by an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Velo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands with a ramrod jab.  
Velo advances into close range and hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Velo lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Velo switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  
Velo lands a jab to the body followed by two straights to the head.  
Velo pivots to the left of his opponent and finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Velo hits the target with a solid jab.  
Velo closes the distance.  Velo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Yamauchi's ribcage.

Velo manages to force Yamauchi into the red corner.  Velo lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Velo lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  As Velo tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Yamauchi.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.

Velo feints a cross, fooling Yamauchi into throwing a right hook counter.  Velo springs the trap and counters with  a sharp cross.  
Velo feints a left, and then is on target with a left hook to Yamauchi's body.
