Simon Ostermeyer vs Baptiste Diamanka

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Senegal-Dakar promoted show at Gage Herard Gym, Dakar,  taking place on 31/10/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Senegal-Dakar Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Simon Ostermeyer (11 - 6(1) - 2) who hails from Dakar, Senegal and Baptiste Diamanka(8(1) - 6 - 2) from Pikine, Senegal.  Both Ostermeyer and Diamanka weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Brigham Maunier, and the three ringside judges are Orleans Dabo, Channing Seigner and Geron Jacque.  

Round 1: 

Diamanka steps inside.  Ostermeyer throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Ostermeyer has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
