Saad Sadek vs Abhay Gaur

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Portsmouth Guildhall, Portsmouth,  taking place on 20/10/2024:

Clearly Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Saad Sadek (6(2) - 0 - 1) who hails from Awka, Nigeria and Abhay Gaur(2 - 5 - 2) from Ahmedabad, India.  Sadek weighed in at 234 pounds And 3 ounces, while Gaur weighed in at 248 pounds And 2 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Joe Blevins, and the three ringside judges are Steve Parry, Brendan Beddoe and Daniel Ivers.  

Round 1:

Gaur advances into close range and manages to force Sadek onto the ropes.  Gaur tries to land a left hook, but Sadek slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.

Gaur steps inside and throws a right hook, but Sadek holds on to his opponent.  Gaur is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Gaur closes the distance.  Sadek is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  Sadek ties up his opponent.  Sadek leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Sadek pivots to the side of his opponent.  Sadek connects with a solid left hook.  Sadek ties up his opponent.  Gaur uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Sadek behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Gaur about fouling.
