Xeres Botero vs Arnie Sproul

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Rattlesnake Gym, Arlington,  taking place on 26/10/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Xeres Botero (6(3) - 0 - 1) who hails from Tegucigalpa, Honduras and Arnie Sproul(1 - 2 - 2) from Louisville, USA.  Both Botero and Sproul weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Mings, and the three ringside judges are Sid Hackney, Harry Burwick and Sean Richards.  

Round 1: 

Sproul closes the distance.  Botero lands a left hook.  
Botero connects with a left uppercut.  
Botero gets on the inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Botero attempts to land a left uppercut, but Sproul parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Botero advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Botero sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Sproul's ribcage.  As Sproul tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Botero dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Botero lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Sproul gets on the inside.  Botero lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.
