Neville Damita vs Thabo Chikane

Boxing Daily Report from the Quick Tan Promotions promoted show at Durban Convention Centre, Durban,  taking place on 26/10/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Neville Damita (8(3) - 0) who hails from Douala, Cameroon and Thabo Chikane(1 - 1 - 1) from Soweto, South Africa.  Both Damita and Chikane weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Van Onselen, and the three ringside judges are Ollie Rensburg, Cody Fuani and Kasi Mogoeng.  

Round 1: 

Damita digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.

Chikane throws a left hook, but Damita holds on to his opponent.  Damita leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Damita lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  Damita clinches his opponent.  Damita is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Damita lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  Damita ties up his opponent.  Damita pushes his forearm into Chikane's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Damita about fouling.  
Chikane attempts to land a left uppercut, but Damita dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Damita gets on the inside.  Chikane throws a left hook, but Damita ties up his opponent.  Chikane throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Damita is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  Damita clinches his opponent.  Damita leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Damita walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Damita digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  Damita holds on to his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Damita attempts to land a left hook, but Chikane blocks the shot and counters with a cross.
