Sam Sellards vs John Mellis

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Indiana promoted show at Michael Abel Gym, Indianapolis,  taking place on 02/11/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Great Lakes Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sam Sellards (3 - 8 - 3) who hails from Madison, USA and John Mellis(8 - 6) from Indianapolis, USA.  Both Sellards and Mellis weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Skilling, and the three ringside judges are Paul Lockart, Joseph Sayer and Paul Lockart.  

Round 1: 

Mellis is looking to keep his distance and throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Sellards gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.
