Hernan Checo vs Peter Moncrief

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Florida promoted show at Hialeah Chirino, Hialeah,  taking place on 02/11/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Florida Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hernan Checo (8 - 7 - 1) who hails from Tampa, USA and Peter Moncrief(1 - 11(1)) from St. Petersburg, USA.  Both Checo and Moncrief weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Owens, and the three ringside judges are Eduardo Liberato, Vince Wood and Fraser Vail.

Checo steps to the outside.  Moncrief sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands an overhand right.

Moncrief steps inside.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Checo dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Checo.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
