Rajat Karanth vs Arun Tanwar

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi,  taking place on 29/11/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the India Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rajat Karanth (15 - 3) who hails from Hyderabad, India and Arun Tanwar(12 - 2 - 3) from Mumbai, India.  Both Karanth and Tanwar weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jasvinder Ramesh, and the three ringside judges are Gautam Trivedi, Malik Baten and Syed Ghazal.  

Round 1: 

Karanth lands with a stinging jab.  
Karanth is on target with a stinging right uppercut.  
Karanth closes the distance.  Karanth pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Tanwar's ribs.  
Karanth closes the distance.  Karanth quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a left hook into Tanwar's body.

Tanwar quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Tanwar attempts to land a right uppercut, but Karanth slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.

Karanth advances into close range.  Karanth sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Karanth lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Karanth lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  Karanth clinches his opponent.  Karanth pushes his forearm into Tanwar's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Karanth about fouling.  
Karanth drives a sharp left hook into Tanwar's body.  
Karanth pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Tanwar gets on the inside.  Tanwar pivots to the side of his opponent.  Karanth lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Karanth switches the action to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Karanth is on target with a right hook to Tanwar's ribs.  
Tanwar attempts to land a jab, but Karanth blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Karanth gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Karanth advances into close range and is on target with a solid right uppercut.  
Karanth is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS TANWAR TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  Tanwar almost instantly recovers. 
Tanwar throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

It looks like Tanwar has now recovered from that shot earlier.

Karanth forces Tanwar to retreat onto the ropes.  Tanwar attempts to land a jab, but Karanth sidesteps and counters with a WICKED right uppercut.  TANWAR IS HURT!  Tanwar recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Karanth is looking to close the distance.  Karanth sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.
