Sam Axtell vs Sid Liddell

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Gold Coast,  taking place on 30/11/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Sam Axtell (11 - 0) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Sid Liddell(11 - 2 - 2) from Perth, Australia.  Both Axtell and Liddell weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Pepe Brunetti, and the three ringside judges are Leon Kellar, John Wark and Neil McAllaster.  

Round 1: 

Liddell tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Axtell pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Axtell steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.
