David Haw vs Peter McCluney

Boxing Daily Report from the Hennessy Boxing promoted show at Convention & Exhibition Centre, Melbourne,  taking place on 16/11/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are David Haw (8 - 0) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Peter McCluney(1 - 3) from Sydney, Australia.  Both Haw and McCluney weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark McBride, and the three ringside judges are Gus Seward, Aaron Hadjinyan and Ian Suit.  

Round 1: 

McCluney throws a right hook, but Haw clinches his opponent.  Haw pushes his forearm into McCluney's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Haw lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.
