Andy Blair vs Matthew Flanagan

Boxing Daily Report from the RJM Boxing promoted show at Cardiff City Hall, Cardiff,  taking place on 08/10/2024:

Clearly RJM Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Andy Blair (2 - 0) who hails from Glasgow, UK and Matthew Flanagan(5 - 2) from Dublin, Ireland.  Blair weighed in at 242 pounds And 2 ounces, while Flanagan weighed in at 246 pounds And 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Glyn Bowen, and the three ringside judges are Dale Carrick, Mark MacNevin and Glyn Bowen.  

Round 1:

Blair leans on his opponent using all his weight. Blair is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Blair's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Blair manouvers Flanagan into the corner.  Blair is on target with a left uppercut.  
Blair lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Flanagan's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Flanagan's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
