Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Centre Étienne Desmarteau - Ice Rink Jean Trottier, Montreal,  taking place on 23/11/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Zelipe Virgen (7(6) - 0) who hails from Trujillo, Peru and Sam Farquhar(4 - 12 - 5) from Toronto, Canada.  Virgen weighed in at 153 pounds and 15 ounces, while Farquhar weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Erec Adore, and the three ringside judges are Sinjon Bellanger, Laurent Marceau and Carvell Brame.  

Round 1:

Farquhar tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Virgen's kidney. The ref breaks Virgen's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Farquhar advances into close range.  Virgen pivots to the right of his opponent.  Virgen lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Virgen ties up his opponent.  Virgen pushes his forearm into Farquhar's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Virgen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Farquhar tries to land a right hook, but Virgen parries the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Virgen sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Virgen pivots to the right of his opponent.  Virgen attempts to land a left hook, but Farquhar blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Virgen pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a double jab to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Farquhar recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Virgen crashes a spiteful right hook to his opponents body.  FARQUHAR WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!

Virgen lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body, AND SENDS FARQUHAR SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  It looks like Farquhar has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.
