Shinji Konda vs Hajime Kawahara

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Tokyo International Forum, Tokyo,  taking place on 29/11/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Shinji Konda (7 - 0) who hails from Osaka, Japan and Hajime Kawahara(9 - 6 - 4) from Sapporo, Japan.  Both Konda and Kawahara weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hiroki Amaya, and the three ringside judges are Keiichi Iida, Ichiro Koizumi and Ryo Shiroma.  

Round 1: 

Konda quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Kawahara tries to land a cross, but Konda parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
