Neil Meikle vs John Ednie

Boxing Daily Report from the Navasartyan Promotions promoted show at Columbus Monce, Columbus,  taking place on 18/10/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Neil Meikle (3 - 0) who hails from Greeley, USA and John Ednie(2 - 4(1) - 3) from Toronto, Canada.  Meikle weighed in at 160 pounds, while Ednie weighed in at 159 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rob Quigg, and the three ringside judges are Glynn Mescall, John Cook and Jonathan Carvelli.  

Round 1: 

Meikle is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.

Meikle gets on the inside.  Ednie throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Meikle holds on to his opponent.  Meikle pushes his forearm into Ednie's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Meikle about fouling.  
Meikle steps inside and hits home with a solid right uppercut.

Meikle pivots to the side of his opponent.  Meikle lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  Meikle holds on to his opponent.  Meikle is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Meikle is on target with a left hook to Ednie's liver.  
Ednie switches the action to the outside and is on target with an overhand left.  
Meikle is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.
