Michi Iwai vs Kyo Hori

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo,  taking place on 26/10/2024:

Clearly Gold Coast Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Michi Iwai (7 - 0) who hails from Higashiosaka, Japan and Kyo Hori(11 - 5 - 1) from Osaka, Japan.  Both Iwai and Hori weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hikaru Onaga, and the three ringside judges are Isamu Okimoto, Naoki Morita and Ichiro Tsukamoto.  

Round 1: 

Iwai advances into close range and cuts off the ring, trapping Hori in a corner.  Iwai lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hori throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Iwai drives a stinging right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Iwai sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Hori throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Iwai's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Iwai gets on the inside and is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Hori throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Iwai steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Iwai closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Iwai is on target with a right hook.  
Iwai pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Iwai lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Hori connects with a cross.  Hori attempts to land a cross, but Iwai slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Iwai pivots to the side of his opponent.  Iwai attempts to land a jab, but Hori slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Iwai forces Hori to back into a neutral corner.  Hori tries to land a jab, but Iwai blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Iwai closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Hori tries to step out of his opponents range.  Iwai sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Iwai lands a stinging cross.  Iwai attempts to land a jab, but Hori dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Iwai steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.
