Asif Rasheed vs Zafa Elhaddad

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Egypt-Alexandria promoted show at Alexandria Sporting Club, Alexandria,  taking place on 12/11/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Middle East Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Modern Sport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Asif Rasheed (12(4) - 1 - 3) who hails from Mashhad, Iran and Zafa Elhaddad(12 - 3 - 1) from Alexandria, Egypt.  Both Rasheed and Elhaddad weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Irfan Ebrahim, and the three ringside judges are Amer Qazi, Saad Nadift and Kamran Ishmael.  

Round 1: 

Rasheed lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Elhaddad closes the distance.  Rasheed lands a right hook followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents head.

Elhaddad tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Rasheed steps to the outside.  Elhaddad tries to land an overhand left, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Elhaddad steps inside and manouvers Rasheed onto the ropes.  Rasheed drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Elhaddad switches the action to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Rasheed steps to the outside.  Elhaddad lands a cross to the head, a jab to the head and a cross to the body.

Rasheed is looking to keep his distance and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Elhaddad quickly recovers. 
Elhaddad steps inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Rasheed in the corner.  Elhaddad lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Elhaddad closes the distance.  Rasheed pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Rasheed hits the target with a hard jab.  
Elhaddad finds the target with a jab.  
Rasheed steps away from his opponent.  Elhaddad lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Rasheed tries to step out of his opponents range and lands an overhand right, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.

Rasheed steps away from his opponent and lands a VICIOUS cross.  ELHADDAD WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Rasheed is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Rasheed lands a WICKED cross.  ELHADDAD IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  Elhaddad now seems to have his senses back.

Rasheed lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Rasheed wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Elhaddad dabs at his face checking for damage.

Rasheed lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Elhaddad connects with a right hook.  
Elhaddad steps inside and attempts to land a left hook, but Rasheed slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Rasheed is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Elhaddad is on target with a cross.
