Dave Chimbetu vs Siyabonga Sono

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Durban Convention Centre, Durban,  taking place on 15/11/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Southern African Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Dave Chimbetu (10 - 0) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Siyabonga Sono(11 - 2) from Durban, South Africa.  Chimbetu weighed in at 233 pounds and 13 ounces, while Sono weighed in at 239 pounds and 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Verlyn Selasee, and the three ringside judges are Brad Van Blerk, Louis Muamba and Corey Nzimande.
