Greg Ferris vs Ken Owen

Boxing Daily Report from the Big Bang Promotions promoted show at ExCel Arena, London,  taking place on 30/11/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Southern England Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Greg Ferris (11 - 0) who hails from London, UK and Ken Owen(9 - 8 - 1) from London, UK.  Ferris weighed in at 125 pounds and 14 ounces, while Owen weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Cossutta, and the three ringside judges are Mark Shankland, Nathan Woodhouse and Amon Arthur.  

Round 1: 

Ferris voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Owen is whaling away with hooks, but Ferris keeps his defence tight.
