Darragh McCracken vs Carl Malley

Boxing Daily Report from the Big Bang Promotions promoted show at City West Hotel, Dublin,  taking place on 06/12/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Irish-Leinster Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on RET One, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Darragh McCracken (4 - 9 - 3) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Carl Malley(2 - 3 - 1) from Dundalk, Ireland.  Both McCracken and Malley weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Liam Healey, and the three ringside judges are Joshua Higgins, Michael Corcoran and Fionn Delaney.  

Round 1: 

McCracken steps inside.  Malley is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
McCracken is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Malley is on target with a jab.  
McCracken attempts to land a cross, but Malley slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
McCracken advances into close range and walks his opponent into the corner.  McCracken goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Malley's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

McCracken tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Malley pivots to the right of his opponent.  Malley throws a left uppercut, but McCracken holds on to his opponent.  Malley uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits McCracken behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Malley lands a jab.  
McCracken manouvers Malley into the corner.  McCracken hits home with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Malley's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Malley's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Malley's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
