Ichiro Takayama vs Hikaru Ichikawa

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Osaka promoted show at Hitoshi Ito Gym, Osaka,  taking place on 22/11/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Osaka Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ichiro Takayama (3 - 6 - 3) who hails from Osaka, Japan and Hikaru Ichikawa(9 - 2 - 1) from Osaka, Japan.  Takayama weighed in at 146 pounds and 11 ounces, while Ichikawa weighed in at 146 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Naoki Koyama, and the three ringside judges are Goro Tsuchida, Jun Nakahara and Akira Iha.

Takayama closes the distance.  As Ichikawa tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Takayama dabs at his face checking for damage.
