Nursharaf Shahidi vs Elsevar Safi

Boxing Daily Report from the UAE Boxing promoted show at Inshaatchy Stadium, Sumqayit,  taking place on 22/11/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the West Asian Minimumweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AZTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Nursharaf Shahidi (7 - 1) who hails from Baku, Azerbaijan and Elsevar Safi(17 - 0) from Dushanbe, Tajikistan.  Both Shahidi and Safi weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mammad Akbarov, and the three ringside judges are Ulfet Kadyrov, Nariman Jafri and Huseinqulu Ismailov.  

Round 1: 

Safi advances into close range.  Safi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.
