Joaquin Granada vs Angel Regal

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Jalisco promoted show at Joaquin Vinal Gym, Guadalajara,  taking place on 25/11/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Jalisco Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joaquin Granada (8 - 0) who hails from Guadalajara, Mexico and Angel Regal(10 - 1) from Guadalajara, Mexico.  Both Granada and Regal weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Montel Almeda, and the three ringside judges are Diego Milian, Macario Floro and Xavier Fontanez.  

Round 1: 

Granada pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Regal steps to the outside and lands an overhand left.  
Granada throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Regal steps to the outside and hits home with a cross.  
Regal lands a cross.  
Granada steps inside.  Granada pivots to the left of his opponent.  Regal throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Regal lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Granada lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Granada forces Regal to retreat into the corner.  Regal hits home with a left hook.  Regal throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Regal tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Granada digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Regal lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Granada walks Regal onto the ropes.  Granada lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Regal dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Granada digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  As Regal tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref steps in and separates the two fighters to check for damage.  Its not looking good!  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.  As less than 4 rounds have been completed its going to be a no-contest!
